PJPP is a mentoring service that provides lifelong tools that can be used from the womb to the tomb. We are committed to African American cultural preservation. Our goal is to empower families by educating them on various wellness practices in holistic health, mentoring through Sister Circle's and much more!
Iridology is the study of the iris' fibers and the sclera (whites of the eye), to accurately measure tissue weakness and body system deficiencies. In the course you will learn how to look into the iris' of others and identify inherit tissue weaknesses, circulation levels, organs in need of repair, nutritional needs, and healing signs. This course is an opportunity for you to learn a non-invasive way to analyze the iris and understand the best place to start your herbal supplemental protocols.
(Iridology book included)
PJPP started over 30 years ago as a volunteer mentoring service for at-risk girls, and has since expanded to servicing young children and adults. We have been part of many solutions addressing health disparities, educational barriers, and social injustice among African Americans. We have volunteered with over 1,000 youth within Sister Circles with our student having a 95% high school graduation rate. We have provided Baby Empowering Showers in the community since 2012 with 98% of our women having full term birth outcomes and their children having a healthy birth weight. In 2019 we provided free herbal workshops to over 300 young children in the Philadelphia area. With our services we have seen a decrease in Black infant mortality rates, juvenile detention rates, and increased cultural-awareness throughout our community. We are working to end the cycle of disconnection and isolation in our communities of color and replace them with words and actions of value, respect, and admiration for one another.
Folami Irvine
CEO/Founder
My name is Folami Irvine, I’m a 5th generation Folklore Healing Artist and I am dedicated to passing down traditions in my community. I am the founder and CEO of Precious Jewels Prevention Program. I began Precious Jewels after working in a Juvenile Detention Center in 1990 where I saw the number of Black young women incarcerated increase daily. This perspective showed me how thousands of dollars are given to dehumanizing systems that aim to house and/or devalue our youth. This drove me to enact change. My primary role as a Folklore Healing artist includes being a mentor also known as a Culture Keeper. I teach a wide scope of life-long tools including herbalism, iridology, child-birth education, nutritional classes, and many other holistic modalities. I provide a seamless continuum of services that support our girls and women's social health, and emotional well being by raising self awareness. African American Folklore Healing Arts is a dying practice, I am saving it by passing on my knowledge and creating a sense of community to preserve our culture.
